How does the 5:2 Diet Plan work?

The 5:2 Diet Plan is based on a principle called Intermittent Fasting (IF). This sounds complicated, but it's actually very simple. You eat your normal food (up to the usual 2000 calories per day) five days a week, but you "fast" for two non-consecutive days, say every Tuesday and Thursday.

"Fasting" doesn't mean you don't eat at all. Instead, you restrict your diet to just 600 calories. The big bonus with the 5:2 is that you can eat normally for five days a week, unlike most other diets, so long as you don't exceed 2000 calories per day.

How hungry will I feel on the 5:2 diet?

What is the Complete 5:2 Diet Plan?

With our Complete 5:2 Diet Plan you follow the 5:2 Diet Plan for two days a week and our Complete Diet Plan 1200 for the other five. This diet plan therefore includes all of your meals, and you don't need to go to the hassle of calorie counting yourself. Because we cut your calorie intake to 1200 calories on non-fasting days (compared to the usual 2000 when you do it yourself) you should find that you lose weight a bit quicker.
